Parent Training

Parent Training and Support

Here at Kingsley we offer regular parent courses, run by school staff in their specialist areas.

Communication

Our communication Leads Sara and Katie hold regular courses and training. Sign-a-long is the method of sign language we use in school, families are invited to a one session per week course over three weeks to gain a good understanding and be able to use this form of sign language. We also run communication evenings to help families gain a better understanding of the form of communication their child is using. There are many types of communication used in school, with children using what is best for them, these evenings give families a chance to ask any questions and look at the many resources we have in school.

Internet Safety

Once a year we run an information evening for families around all types of internet safety. Our internet safety lead Claire will talk through all areas of internet safety such as parental controls, age restrictions and keeping children safe online. Support or advice is available any time with any type of device, please contact the school and they can put you in touch with Claire.

Behaviour

Challenging behaviour can be difficult for the whole family. Our behaviour leads Ben and Amanda, offer advice, support, tips and tricks to help support with this should it be needed.
